Friends of Tomah Parks and Recreation

ABOUT US

Friends of Tomah Parks was founded in early 2026 as the result of heartfelt conversations between community members and city officials about the value of public spaces and recreation, and the shared desire to expand and improve those offerings for residents of all ages. Early in these discussions, it was identified that creating a separate fundraising entity to accept donations, apply for grants, and manage funds independently would be especially helpful.

In May 2026 the group received notice that its Articles of Organization had been officially filed with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, formally establishing Friends of Tomah Parks as an organization. Our group is working diligently toward securing 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in the coming months — follow along for updates as this new chapter for Tomah's parks unfolds!

Upcoming Events

Come lend a hand at Gillett Park with Friends of Tomah Parks! 

We'll be tackling a variety of projects, including cleaning up the playground, pulling weeds, edging, painting, sanding, staining, and general park clean-up. No matter your experience or ability, there's something for everyone to help with.

The City of Tomah will provide all the supplies. Just bring a pair of work gloves and a water bottle.
